I'm thrilled to share a bit about my journey in the world of biomedical engineering and medical technology. For over two decades, I've been passionate about developing and commercializing innovative medical technologies that focus on injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation across all stages of life.

 

Since 2023, I've been working closely with David Ruttenberg and the incredible team at Phoeb-X as a former consultant and current Board Advisor. Our focus is on commercializing the SensorAble™ technology for adults with autism. In this role, I'm leveraging my expertise to guide the technology development and commercialization process. 

 

I'm truly passionate about bringing the SensorAble™ technology to market. Our goal is to reduce the incidence and severity of sensory sensitivities and distraction in adults with autism, and potentially expand its application to children and adolescents in the future. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of a project that has the potential to make such a significant impact on people's lives.

 

I'm also the CEO of Bionic Skins, where we're pushing the boundaries of advanced prostheses. My entrepreneurial spirit has led me to co-found and lead several successful ventures, including Simbex and iWalk (now BionX). These experiences have been invaluable in shaping my approach to medical device commercialization.

I'm also deeply committed to education and research. As an Adjunct Professor at Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, I have the privilege of sharing my knowledge with the next generation of innovators. Additionally, I co-founded the National Institute for Sports Science and Safety, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing sports safety.

Throughout my career, I've been fortunate to receive numerous research and development awards, particularly through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. This has allowed me to bring several technologies from concept to market. I'm honored to be a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors and the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, with 84 peer-reviewed publications and 21 US patents to my name.
